On February 27, the winner and prize winners of the second stage of the P. Lednev Cup of the 2026 season were announced. The competition is being held in Minsk from February 25 to 28.Eighteen athletes competed in the women's final, battling it out in five disciplines, and the entire podium was won by Belarusian athletes in a fierce competition!
The winner of the competition was Violetta Gureeva from Gomel, last year's Cup of the Strongest winner. Today, Violetta showed consistently high results in all disciplines.
The silver medal went to Maria Gnedchik, winner of the first stage of this year's P. Lednyov Cup, as well as the final of the P. Lednyov Cup in the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Third place and the bronze medal went to Anastasia Malashonoka, prize of the 2025 Cup of the Strongest.
The final began with a fencing tournament, with Belarusian athletes Violetta Gureeva and Maria Gnedchik, Russian athlete Victoria Sazonova, and Egyptian athlete Salma Abdelmaksoud reaching the semifinals. Violetta Gureeva and Salma Abdelmaksoud competed in the final, with the Belarusian athlete winning the tournament and scoring 250 points. Salma Abdelmaksoud came in second with 244 points, Victoria Sazonova came in third with 238 points, and Maria Gnedchik came in fourth with 236 points.
Next, the athletes moved on to the obstacle course. Violetta once again showed excellent results, finishing second in the discipline with 347 points. The best result was achieved by Jana Atia from Egypt, who beat Violetta by just two points. Third place went to the consistently strong Victoria Sazonova from Russia with 345 points.
Swimming contributed to the preliminary results of the final tournament table, with Anastasia Malashenoka from Belarus proving to be the fastest in the water, scoring 290 points. Angelina Gromyuk came second in the swimming event, with the Russian athlete scoring 296 points. Third place also went to a Russian, Alisa Melikhova, who scored 295 points.
The final discipline of the competition was the laser run. Violetta was the first to start the run, Anastasia Malashonoka was fourth, and Maria Gnedchik was tenth. The Belarusians quickly pulled ahead and maintained their lead throughout the entire course, ultimately finishing first:
Maria Gnedchik was the most successful in the race, scoring 656 points, Anastasia Malashenka scored 633 points, and Violetta Gureeva, who finished first, scored 625 points.
Thus, the winners and runners-up of the second stage of the P. Lednev Cup of the season are:

2. Maria Gnedchik (Belarus) - 1496 points
3. Anastasia Malashonoka (Belarus) - 1485 points

6. Yulia Borovkova (Russia) - 1453 points
