The second day of the home stage of the Friendship Cup brought Belarusian pentathletes two gold medals and a bronze. The traditional tournament is held annually, featuring pentathletes from Belarus and Russia in the U17 and U19 age categories.
The winner in the individual competition among U19 boys was Akim Gnedchik from the Minsk region (World and European Youth Champion).
U19 Boys – Individual Results:
1st place: Akim Gnedchik (Belarus)
2nd place: Grigory Fominykh (Russia)
3rd place: Artyom Knizhnik (Russia)
"I'm quite satisfied with the result, but I would have liked to perform better in some disciplines. Overall, everything worked out," Akim Gnedchik noted in a brief interview after the finish.
It should be recalled that the day before, Akim's younger brother – Klim Gnedchik – became the silver medalist of the stage among U17 boys.

Thus, at the moment, the Belarusian medal tally stands at six awards from this stage: two gold (individual – Akim Gnedchik; team – U19 boys' team "Belarus-1"), two silver (individual – Klim Gnedchik; team – U17 boys' team "Belarus-1"), and two bronze (team – U17 girls' team "Belarus-1"; team – U19 boys' team "Belarus-2").
On the final day of the competition, medals will be contested among U19 girls.
