On August 7, the men's semifinal competitions at the European Modern Pentathlon Championships took place in Istanbul, Turkey. Belarus was represented in this stage by Uladzislau Nestserau, Ivan Khamtsou, Uladzislau Melkaziorau, and Maksim Maruk.
In Group A, Uladzislau Melkaziorau demonstrated a consistently high level of performance, finishing in 5th place with 1557 points and securing his spot in the final [citation:2]. Ivan Khamtsau, unfortunately, finished in 13th position (1518 points), which did not allow him to advance to the next round.

Thus, tomorrow in the men's final, the honor of Belarus will be defended by Uladzislau Melkaziorau. In the women's final, which will also take place on August 8, three Belarusian athletes will compete: Anastasiya Arol, Mariya Gnedtchik, and Viyaleta Hureyeva.
